Valve Springs

VCM Performance proudly offers PAC Racing Spring upgrades for all LS1, LS2, L76, L98, LS3 and LS7 engine configurations.

PAC is a premier North American valve spring manufacturer supplying product for use in all forms of motorsport including NASCAR, Le Mans, Drag Racing, Marine, Motorcycle, etc; the company kicking off product development using cutting edge technology in material and processing which has ensured their springs excel in all forms of racing. From PAC proprietary alloy PAC alloy, to PAC-enhanced processing to continued development of further materials and processing, PAC racing springs provide a competitive edge in everything from street to the racing arena.

PAC Racing’s attention to detail with spring design and manufacture is second to none for all applications from 15,000rpm motorcycle engines, to 10,000rpm NASCAR combos all the way down to 7500rpm LS1s.

Performance Camshafts

A camshaft upgrade is one of best Bang for your Buck upgrades available for the LS Commodore range, and we are both passionate and excited about being able to offer Commodore owners and tuners alike, tested and proven cam grinds designed to meet most needs.

This said we no not offer any radical ramp rate camshafts due to an inherent design that literally smashes valves trains over time. It is our preference that we only offer camshafts that deliver the best possible performance, without and bad side effects including poor idle and vastly increased wear rates.

For example, we do not believe that an extra 10 kilowatts in the top end is worth the cost of regular valve train rebuilds.

VCM Performance has and continues to undertake a rigorous development program with a camshaft range to suit the entire LS engine range. With significant input achieved by using our own development mules (includes a VE SS sedan, VE Calais, supercharged 408 powered CV8 Monaro and ‘bolt-on’ GTO) we have been able to design camshafts that – in a word – work!

Over the past couple of years VCM Performance has supplied hundreds of camshafts and valve spring packages for applications ranging from mild 270 rwkW 5.7’s, all the way to twin turbocharged large cube strokers developing in excess of 820 kilowatts (1100hp).

Reliability, repeatability, longevity and accuracy are paramount with valve train design and manufacture, and it is here that VCM Performance takes no chances. Cam and spring failures simply do not occur.

High lift short duration cam. Great mid range and superior top end power. Requires valve spring upgrade.

VCM2 RPM RANGE 2000-6500
Great all round performance. Strong torque through rev range. Likes higher rocker ratio.

VCM10 RPM RANGE 2000-6700
Performance street use. Very strong-mid range & top end power. Requires valve spring upgrade.

VCM11 RPM RANGE 2200-6800
Split duration cam for performance street use. Strong mid range & high RPM power. Requires valve spring upgrade.

VCM12 RPM RANGE 2200-6800
Performance street/strip use. Aggressive lobe design delivers very strong-mid range & top end power. Requires valve spring upgrade.

VCM3 RPM RANGE 2500-6800
Split duration cam for performance street use. Strong mid range & high RPM power. Requires valve spring upgrade.

VCM7 RPM RANGE 2500-7000
Tough street strip cam. Strong upper mid range & top end power. Requires min 3.9:1 diff ratio & valve spring upgrade.

VCM13 RPM RANGE 3000-7200
Strong street strip cam. Suit modified engines with increased comp ratio. Must use ovate wire double valve springs for maximum results.

TURBO, BLOWER & NITROUS

VCM15 RPM RANGE 1800-6800+
High lift short duration intake lobe design delivers very strong bottom end, mid range & top end power. Requires valve spring upgrade.

VCM5 SC RPM RANGE 2200-7000+
Performance street use. Very strong mid range and high end performance improvement. Requires valve spring upgrade.

VCM5 RPM RANGE 2400-7000+
Street / strip use. Strong mid range & top end power. Requires valve spring upgrade.
